Powdery mildew

Powdery mildew is a disease caused by the fungus Oidium that affects the leaves of the avocado tree. Look closely at the difference between the youngest and the oldest: in the first ones, you have to observe if there are dark green spots and that they are covered by a layer of dust; in the oldest ones, the spots will be brown or purple and will also be covered by dust.

It is very important to detect it in time, because if we observe it at the beginning, the scare will remain a minor setback. At the slightest sign, it is essential to apply an authorized treatment to deal with powdery mildew, otherwise it will weaken the tree.

Red spider

The red spider m ite is one of the mites responsible for producing diseases that affect avocado crops. You will observe them on the leaves, essentially on the upper side, because they suck the sap from the leaves. If we let them act, we will see how, as photosynthetic activity decreases, a series of reddish spots will appear and spread.

We must be quick, because if we let it get infected, there will be more population of this unpleasant mite, which will increase the infected area and will cover the entire surface. Once the infestation is very serious, we will see how defoliation will begin.
