From AJF Products, we are pleased to inform you that some of our products have been registered as suitable for biodynamic agriculture.
The products: AZUFEGA, AZUFEGA 80 P, RIOSUL, RIOSUL 80, AZUFEGA CORRECTOR AGRICOLA and AQUASUL have obtained certification as an input from the Biological Agriculture Research Institute (FIBL) which allows their use in biodynamic agriculture by farmers certified by the DEMETER entity. This production method is becoming increasingly important in Spain and there are many producers and farmers who demand products adapted to this form of farming.
What is biodynamic agriculture?
Biodynamic Agriculture is a holistic approach to agriculture in which vitality is the priority. Its origins lie in a series of lectures given by Rudolf Steiner in 1924. Biodynamic farmers give back more to the land than they take from it when they cultivate crops and raise animals. The farm is seen as an organism in which plants, animals and humans are integrated together.
The term “biodynamics” is made up of two Greek words: “bios”, life, and “dynamis”, force. Biodynamic agriculture aims to respect certain principles to ensure the health of the soil and plants, and to provide healthy nutrition for animals and humans.
Products certified for biodynamic agriculture have a double guarantee of food control and health, because they are subject to a double control and certification, organic and biodynamic.
The requirements of the Demeter Standard are higher than what is required for organic products, and together with very special requirements that strengthen the vital processes of soil and food.
